Wags Pet Retreat is an outdoor retreat for pets to roam and explore nature trails spanning 60 acres of land in the beautiful Kentucky countryside. We offer boarding, daycare, bathing and basic training services for pets. We are dedicated to making sure your pet is happily wagging its tail all day long. Our high-quality facilities are safe and always clean for you and your pets.
Meet the Owner
Wendy Bruwer founded Wags Pet Retreat in 2022 and has always had a special place in her heart for animals. She grew up raising and training horses and has spent a majority of her life loving and caring for the dogs, cats and horses around her.
She feels very blessed to have found this beautiful piece of land to continue serving dogs, cats, horses and community of pet owners. Her mission is to enhance the lives of pets who may not have as much access to animals or open spaces for playtime.
Wendy opened Wags with a goal to bring enriching activities and experiences to pets and their owners for all around better health, behavior and well-being

Our Difference
Have you ever been anxious about leaving your pet at a boarding facility? Many pet retreats have limited space which leaves pets confined to small areas. This can cause stress and anxiety for animals. Wags Pet Retreat wants to change that.
We have many different areas they can enjoy, whether it's outdoor runs, indoor play area or one-on-one walks on the farm. We are hands-on with your pets to ensure they receive the attention they need throughout the day.
